Sunbeam Television Adding 10 A.M. Hour To Morning News In Miami And Boston

Sunbeam Television, parent company of Fox affiliate WSVN Miami and independent WHDH Boston, is expanding the stations’ morning newscasts with an additional hour, from 10 to 11. Both stations’ newscasts will broadcast from 5 to 11 a.m., Monday through Friday.

WSVN’s six-hour broadcast, Today in Florida, will be anchored by Vanessa Borge, Ethan Calloway, Alex De Armas and an anchor yet to be named. At WHDH, Today in New England, also six hours, will be anchored by Amaka Ubaka, Brandon Gunnoe, Amanda Crawford, and an anchor yet to be named.

With the addition of the 10 a.m. newscast, WSVN, will now air 12 hours of local news each weekday, while WHDH, a strong independent station, will air 12½ hour. The new 10 a.m. newscasts will debut on Monday, June 26.

At Miami’s WSVN, The Sherri Shepherd Show, which currently airs at 10 a.m., will now be broadcast Monday through Friday at 11 a.m., and at Boston’s WHDH, Today in New England will replace Dateline at 10.
