Taniya Wright Joins KPRC Morning Team

Graham Media Group’s NBC affiliate KPRC Houston (DMA 7) has added Taniya Wright to its news department.

She will join the station on Aug. 5 and take her place on the morning news desk next to co-anchor Owen Conflenti weekday mornings 4:30-7 and on the midday newscast weekdays at 11 a.m. to noon co-anchoring with Andy Cerota.

Wright comes to Houston from Raleigh, N.C., where she worked at WNCN. Prior to WNCN, she was a morning and midday anchor at KJRH Tulsa, Okla., and the midday and 5 p.m. anchor at WHAG Hagerstown, Md.

In addition to her on-screen experience, Taniya has more than six years of experience behind the scenes as a producer at WFLA in her hometown of Tampa, Fla.
