WFXG Augusta Hires Christopher Payne As News Director

Lockwood Broadcast Group has appointed Christopher Payne news director of its Fox affiliate in WFXG Augusta, Ga.
Payne is a veteran of TV news and programming with background as an assistant news director and executive producer. His broadcast career has taken him from Charlottesville, Va., to Memphis, Raleigh, N.C.; and Richmond, Va.
Chastity Scott, WFXG general manager, said: “Chris brings over 20 years of experience in the news business. He is a proven leader who has a knack for creative thinking. Chris is a well-respected and empathetic leader.”
