WILX Lansing Expands News At 4 P.M.

Gray Television NBC affiliate WILX Lansing, Mich., is launching First @ 4 on Monday, May 8. Viewers can join anchor Taylor Gattoni every weekday starting at 4 p.m. for the day’s biggest stories and live interviews with local newsmakers as well as updates from First Alert meteorologists, Justin Bradford and Colton Cichoracki.

Recently, Taylor Gattoni was named the anchor of News 10 Today @ 11AM and can also be seen on News 10′s digital platforms streaming breaking news and live events. “I’m looking forward to bringing viewers live interviews for ‘Mid-Michigan Matters’ on Mid-Michigan’s only 4 p.m. newscast,” Gattoni said. “It’s exciting to be part of a team that has core values that connect with our community.”

“I’m extremely proud of the work our team has put in to make First @ 4 a fantastic product,” said WILX General Manager Debbie Petersmark, “And we’re excited to provide viewers with local news starting an hour earlier.”

First @ 4 will be followed by Jeopardy II on WILX, leading up to News 10’s 90 minutes of news starting at 5 p.m. with anchors David Andrews, Ann Emmerich, meteorologist Andy Provenzano and sports co-director Tim Staudt.

Lansing is such a small market it can’t support a 4PM newscast in my opinion.
