WRTV Names Maureen Jennings Caruso News Director

She joins the Scripps Indianapolis ABC affiliate from across town at the Nexstar’s WXIN-WTTV duopoly where she was assistant ND.

Scripps-owned ABC affiliate WRTV Indianapolis has appointed Maureen Jennings Caruso news director, effective Nov. 29.

Lana Durban Scott, WRTV vice president and general manager, said: “I am very excited to welcome Maureen to the WRTV family. An experienced leader with a proven track record of success, Maureen is committed to central Indiana and her values align with our mission.”

Before joining WRTV, Jennings spent eight years at Nexstar’s Indianapolis Fox-CBS duopoly WXIN-WTTV. In 2016, she was promoted to assistant news director. During Jennings’ tenure, she was responsible for launching newscasts on WTTV and overseeing more than 90 hours of news per week.

A native of Indiana, Jennings graduated from Ball State University.  Her television career started in South Bend, Ind., at WSJV, followed by two stops in Chicago — at CLTV and WGN — before returning home to Indianapolis.
