NBCUniversal Local’s WNJU New York (Telemundo) is adding Yaimee Bell to the station’s news team. She begins work as a weekday and weekend general assignment reporter on July 10, with her first on-air appearance expected the following week.

Bell joins from sister Telemundo station KBLR Las Vegas, where she worked as a multimedia journalist and was awarded a 2022 Pacific Southwest Emmy in arts and entertainment news. While at KBLR, Bell covered a multitude of issues and topics, including the Las Vegas region’s ongoing, post-COVID recovery.

She joined KBLR in 2021 after working with Univision Communications in Miami as a digital journalist.  Prior to this, Bell was a reporter for South Florida Media Network from 2018 to 2019.

A native of Cuba, Bell is bilingual in English and Spanish. She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Universidad Oriente in Santiago, Cuba and a master’s degree in Spanish multimedia journalism from Florida International University in Miami.
