Williams, co-host of The Fox News Specialists, addressed President Trump on Monday in her “Eboni’s Docket” segment, which she writes herself, berating him for failing to specify white nationalist groups in his condemnation of the violence that occurred at Charlottesville, Va., over the weekend. She told Variety in an interview on Wednesday that her personal website, which usually receives an average of 10-15 emails after each segment, was inundated with over 150 emails, only three of which were anything other than “seething, scathing” takedowns.

President Donald Trump’s contentious relationship with CNN took another turn Tuesday when the network refused to air a new campaign ad unless changes are made. The ad, entitled “Let President Trump do his job,” accuses the media of “attacking” the president as a collage of TV news personalities, including CNN’s Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon, appears on the screen.
Hope Hicks will be named the new White House communications director. President Trump has offered the job to Hicks and she has accepted the position, according to a White House insider. Hicks has been close by Trump’s side since the early days of the campaign and is one of his most trusted staffers. She has been serving on the press team in more of a behind-the-scenes role as the director of strategic communications.
Fox News said it has removed a video from its website that depicted cars plowing through demonstrators, saying it was “inappropriate.” The 90-second video had been picked up in January from The Daily Caller, a website co-founded by Fox personality Tucker Carlson. The Daily Caller’s video editor, Mike Raust, wrote when it was posted: “Here’s a compilation of liberal protesters getting pushed out of the way by cars and trucks. Study the technique; it may prove useful in the next four years.”

NBC averaged 4.9 million viewers in primetime last week, Nielsen said. CBS had 3.99 million, ABC had 3.95 million, Fox had 1.7 million, Univision had 1.49 million, Telemundo had 1.45 million, Ion Television had 1.3 million and the CW had 940,000. NBC’s Nightly News topped the evening newscasts with an average of 7.8 million viewers. ABC’s World News was second with 7.5 million and the CBS Evening News had 6.4 million viewers.
