Flexibility was key to the deal for the star host as Comedy Central hopes to reenergize its flagship show.

Dolly Parton has teamed up with CBS to present the Dolly Parton’s Pet Gala special which is slated to premiere on CBS Network and on Paramount+ on Feb. 21 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The special will air live and on demand for Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs.

Three years after she ended her landmark show, Judy Sheindlin returns to familiar territory when Freevee original Judy Justice enters syndication later in 2024.

Morena Baccarin (Deadpool franchise) is set to appear in an upcoming episode of CBS’s Fire Country, playing a sheriff character that could lead her own series. Baccarin will guest star in the Season 2 episode with an option to become a series regular in a potential spinoff series. Like the mothership series, the proposed offshoot would be produced by CBS Studios.

Mike Calia has been named managing editor of NBC News’s Business & Economy unit. He comes from CNBC, where he was a senior editor at CNBC Digital. He will oversee editorial direction for the Business & Economy unit, with an emphasis on the state of the economy, the American consumer, the jobs market and what NBC News calls “pocketbook issues.” Calia spent close to seven years at CNBC.

A familiar face on television as the host of CBS Sunday Morning from 1994 to 2016, he was also known for his Osgood File segments on CBS Radio, often delivered with humor and a rhyme.

Capitol Broadcasting hires him from KUTV Salt Lake City to succeed the retiring Rick Gall.

Leading First Amendment attorney Floyd Abrams claims federal regulators have “amply basis” to revoke Fox Corp.’s license for WTXF Philadelphia over 2020 election falsehoods aired on Fox News Channel and various Fox-owned TV stations. Abrams said he came to his conclusion after reviewing presiding Delaware Judge Eric Davis’s determinations about Fox’s journalism in the Dominion Voting System defamation case and submissions in the same case by the Media and Democracy Project about the conduct of Fox executives over 2020 election reporting by Fox News Channel.
