Estrella Media Announces Executive Promotions

Ana Laura Suarez moves to director of programming, EstrellaTV. Said Garcia Solis named content director for Que Buena Los Angeles Radio.

Estrella Media, a Spanish-language media company, has promoted Ana Laura Suarez to director of programming, EstrellaTV, and Said Garcia Solis to content director for Que Buena Los Angeles radio. Suarez was most recently senior director of marketing. Garcia adds the new title to his current role as producer and on-air talent for the Don Cheto Al Aire morning show. Both report to Enrique Guillen, chief content officer.

“Ana Laura’s talent and experience with network programming, production, and our on-air schedule has been extremely important for the company,” said Guillen. “Her institutional knowledge and talent relations will strengthen our television content team, and will be essential to our affiliates, platforms, and partners.”

As a producer of and on-air talent on the Don Cheto show, Said has been a key part of the growth of our radio stations and the company’s music programming. Both promotions are well deserved, and I’m glad to have their expertise contributing to our growth.”

Garcia is known as an on-air member of and producer for Estrella Media’s nationally syndicated Don Cheto Al Aire morning radio show, which was recently named the #1 morning show in Los Angeles regardless of language. Garcia has also served as a producer for the company’s Premios de la Radio Regional Mexican music awards show. Before joining Estrella Media, he held positions at TV Azteca and Televisa. Garcia ia also an actor, and he has appeared in the 2021 film “Finlandia” and the forthcoming 2024 release “Sobre las Olas.”

In her previous roles at Estrella Media, Suarez was responsible for the company’s on-air marketing and scheduling for EstrellaTV. Prior to joining Estrella Media, she was a production manager with Televisa in Mexico City. She graduated from the Universidad Intercontinental in México City, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies.
