Three More Nexstar Stations Becoming CW Affils On Jan. 1

WOOD Grand Rapids, Mich.; KELO Sioux Falls, S.D.; and WMBB Panama City, Fla., will carry CW’s primetime entertainment and live sports programming, on subchannels.

Nexstar Media Group said today that beginning Jan. 1, 2024, its WOOD Grand Rapids, Mich.; KELO Sioux Falls, S.D.; and WMBB Panama City, Fla., will begin carrying the primetime entertainment and live sports programming of The CW Network on one of their subchannels.

“The addition of CW programming to these Nexstar-owned stations will bring the number of Nexstar and partner-owned CW affiliates to 45, covering more than 39% of U.S. TV Households,” said Andrew Alford, president of Nexstar’s broadcasting division. “As The CW’s No. 1 affiliate group, we are very pleased to be taking this step, especially as several new entertainment shows get set to premier and ACC college basketball moves deeper into its season — WWE NXT in fall 2024 also will be a big hit. As a result, our CW-affiliated stations will be able to offer advertisers even more opportunities to reach viewers.”

The CW reaches 100% of U.S. households and delivers 15 hours of primetime entertainment programming per week and more than 300 hours of live sports annually, as the broadcast home to LIV Golf, ACC football and basketball games, Inside the NFL, WWE NXT beginning in 2024 and NASCAR Xfinity Series beginning in 2025. The fully ad-supported CW App, with more than 96 million downloads to date, is available for free to consumers on all major digital platforms.

“These stations are great additions to the CW family,” said Dennis Miller, president of The CW Network. “Each station has a deep relationship with its viewers, advertisers, and the communities it serves, which is exactly what we look for in an affiliate — each will be a superb ambassador for our programming.”

WXSP is the new home for The CW in West Michigan just my opinion. CW7 will be rebranded as ARC West Michigan on Jan 1, 2024 Mathis Court takes 11AM to 11:30AM, Justice For The People 11:30AM to 12PM, The Cutlers 12:30PM to 1PM, Jerry Springer talker repeats returns 2PM to 3PM, Steve Wilkos 3PM to 4PM, Maury stays 4PM to 5PM, 25 Words Or Less full hour 5PM to 6PM, TND 8PM to 8:30PM, Daytime Jeopardy 8:30PM to 9PM, Kelly Clarkson 9PM to 10PM, DR. Phil Repeats move from 10AM to the graveyard 5AM, Tamron Hall moves from 11AM to 10AM.

WWE is Sports & Entertainment yes I know that winners are already determined before the match and wrestlers can get injured in the square circle/ring, I know I couldn’t take the bumps I’d get seriously injured. The wrestlers are athletes as well. I don’t watch wrestling stopped watching 20 years ago where I’d watch every week for Raw & Smackdown fazed out over time on watching WWE.

Sherri 9AM to 10AM also 2PM on Wood TV,
The Jennifer Hudson Show 10AM to 11AM also 5PM on WXSP,
Who The Bleep Is That yes that is a title for a game show 3:30PM to 4PM,
Pawn Stars gets a full hour 2PM to 3PM never got a full hour when it was 5 days a week in 2016 to 2018 on WXSP been on the weekend since 2018 where 5AM, 6AM, 7AM, 11:30PM on Sat, this year 6AM on Sun,
Extra gets access prime been a decade since it has been on in access prime 7PM to 7:30PM WOTV 1AM to 1:30AM,
TMZ will get 3 airings 7:30PM to 8PM, 10:30PM to 11PM on WXSP, 1:30AM to 2AM on Wood TV,
TMZ Live will also get 3 airings as well 3PM to 4PM on Wood TV, 3AM to 4AM on WXSP, CW6 4AM to 5AM which will be M-F which Mon will be from Fri.

I’m calling it CW6 since that is where WOTV DT2 is at since 2 or 3 weeks ago when channel 6 was added was deleted 9 years ago was either QVC or HSN on channel 6. On Charter Spectrum be different from other pay-TV.
