WPLG Miami To Offer Live Coverage Of Annual MLK Day Parade

WPLG, Berkshire Hathway’s ABC affiliate in Miami, will provide live coverage of the city’s 47th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade as well as the premiere of We Have A Dream, a two-hour television event honoring the life and legacy of Dr. King The celebration begins at 11 a.m. on Jan. 15.

WPLG President-CEO Bert Medina said: “Our community has a rich history celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., dating back to 1977. We are proud to join with our community to share this annual event and broadcast it to all of South Florida.”

Following the parade, WPLG’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration will continue with the premiere of We Have A Dream, a two-hour television event honoring that presents interviews and personal recollections from inspirational and notable scholars, entrepreneurs and entertainers such as Oprah Winfrey, Tracee Ellis Ross, Fantasia among others.
