Comark, DigiCAP Partner On ATSC 3.0 Solutions

Hitachi Kokusai Electric Comark, a manufacturer and supplier of DTV transmitters, encoding systems, and associated field services for over 45 years, has signed a partnership agreement with DigiCAP Co. making Comark an authorized reseller and service provider of the DigiCAP hardware and software lines. Comark will be focusing on the North American broadcast DTV market for ATSC 3.0 solutions.

“Because none of our CDS clients are exactly alike, we strive to find the best-of-breed suppliers in all of the product categories we represent,” says Tim Hosmer, director of Comark Digital Services. “Adding DigiCAP’s product line will provide the best possible choices for our clients.”

With this agreement, CDS will now represent DigiCaster, an integrated and virtualized ATSC 3.0 broadcast gateway solution that combines eight different functions integrated into a unified system that runs on either a COTS server or in a cloud, such as AWS.

In addition, CDS will now offer HomeCaster, a solution for over-the-air ATSC 3.0 reception that provides in-home video/data distribution via Wi-Fi connectivity to both legacy DTV sets and tablets.
