Streaming video provider Aereo launches its services in Dallas today, as the company works toward its goal of launching in 22 markets by year’s end.
Already this month, the company launched in Miami (DMA 16) and Houston (DMA 10). Consumers who pre-registered receive priority access for today’s launch in Dallas (DMA 5). Membership starts at $8 per month and includes 20 hours of cloud-based DVR storage. Consumers can upgrade to 60 hours of storage for an additional $4 per month.

I’m still waiting for Homebrew to make his/her usual comment. The Courts will decide if (or not) Aereo and/or FilmOnX will have to compensate the Stations for the programming (The Retrans Consent issue) they stream.
