Amanda Davis Joins WGCL As Morning Anchor

Meredith-owned CBS affiliate WGCL Atlanta (DMA 10) has named Amanda Davis morning anchor for the CBS46 Morning News (4:30 to 7 a.m. weekdays). Her first day will be Monday, Jan. 2.

Davis will join co-anchor Bobby Kaple, meteorologist Paul Ossmann, meteorologist Jennifer Valdez and traffic reporter Julie Smith.   

Davis spent 26 years at WAGA Atlanta. She has received numerous honors and awards during her career.

“I’m excited about the opportunity CBS46 has opened up for me, allowing me to join a stellar team of broadcasters on the morning show,” Davis said.

She graduated magna cum laude from Clark College.
