Amber Hankins New Co-Host of WISH’s ‘Indy Style’

Media General-owned CW affiliate WISH Indianapolis (DMA 27) has named Amber Hankins as the new co-host for Indy Style, its daily lifestyle talk show.

Hankins began her broadcasting career as an anchor and reporter at WCIA Champaign, Ill. She later reported for KCTV Kansas City, Mo., where she also co-hosted KC Zoo Show, a half-hour children’s program.

Hankins will join co-host Tracy Forner making her Indy Style debut on Monday, May 4.  Celebrating its fifth year on the air in March, Indy Style offers a sampling of everything Indiana, from fashion to fitness, cooking to DIY projects, and family-friendly events. Indy Style airs live weekday mornings at 9 a.m.

Hankins made the move from Kansas to Los Angeles, where she covered entertainment news, celebrity fashion, movie premieres, and events. In 2012, Hankins helped launch, RFD-TV, a national news network, as an anchor and live field reporter covering news and events of interest to rural communities across the country. 

Born and raised in Central Illinois, Hankins is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University. She holds a Master’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Illinois.
