Anchor Julie Luck Joins WFMY Greensboro

Gannett’s CBS affiliate WFMY Greensboro/High Point/Winston-Salem, N.C. (DMA 46), has added Julie Luck to its news team. Luck will join WFMY evening anchor Frank Mickens at 5, 6, and 11 p.m.

Luck left WGHP Greensboro last fall.

The station said that the addition of Luck has freed anchor Tanya Rivera to launch 2 Wants to Know. WFMY’s best known consumer brand will be more than occasional stories.

“We have hired an investigative unit and staffed a Call for Action team,” said Rivera. “2 Wants to Know will be a daily program. We will solve viewer problems, get answers and genuinely help people in these tough times.”

2 Wants to Know will air weekdays at 5:30 p.m. Rivera has been promoted to executive producer of the program and also will serve as host.
