Araksya Karapetyan Named KTTV Morning Anchor

Fox O&O KTTV Los Angeles (DMA 2) today named Araksya Karapetyan morning anchor for its Fox 11 News weekday newscasts from 4:30 to 7 a.m. and 10 to 10:30 a.m.

Karapetyan joined KTTV last year as a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor, where she contributed to Studio 11 L.A, Fox 11 News at 10 p.m., and Fox News at 11 p.m.

Previously, Karapetyan was a general assignment reporter/fill-in anchor at KOIN Portland, Ore. Prior to that, she was a reporter, anchor and producer at KIDK Idaho Falls. Earlier, Karapetyan was a reporter for government access cable television channel, Torrance CitiCABLE 3 in Torrance, Calif. Karapetyan began her television career as an intern at KABC Los Angeles and intern at KFI-AM Burbank, Calif.

Karapetyan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations and broadcast journalism from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
