Ashley Roberts To Host NBC’s ‘1st Look’

The NBC Owned Television Stations today announced that Ashley Roberts will make her national debut as the new host of NBC’s 1st Look on Saturday, Jan. 9, the night before the Golden Globes. The special half-hour episode, 1st Look: Hollywood’s Biggest Party, will dish on the hottest workout crazes, fashions and trends. The new season of 1st Look will premiere nationwide on the NBC Owned Stations and more than 200 NBC affiliates on Saturday, Jan. 9 after Saturday Night Live (check local listings).

“We are excited for the new season of 1st Look featuring our new host, Ashley Roberts, as she takes on exciting adventures from coast to coast,” said Marni Sabia, VP of lifestyle production at LX.TV, which is part of the NBC Owned Television Stations division.

In her debut episode, Roberts is joined by Cheryl Burke of NBC’s I Can Do That and both are put to the test with Buti Yoga, the fitness method that mixes tribal dance, plyometrics and yoga, to get in red carpet shape. In her first episode, Ashley also plays dress up with Bravo’s Fashion Queens Bevy Smith and Miss Lawrence and gets their expert tips on red carpet do’s and don’ts.

Additionally, Ashley gets predictions for the winners, losers and snubs of the golden night from Screen Junkies, the YouTube channel that boasts five million followers and offers pop-culture parodies and commentary.

1st Look airs on more than 200 NBC affiliates across the country. Show segments will also appear on 1stLooktv.com, as well as on NBC Owned Stations’ digital out-of-home properties, such as taxi cabs, PATH trains, nail salons and American Airlines.
