Bonten Taps Nichols As ND In Eastern N.C.
Scott Nichols today was named news director of Bonten Media Group’s Eastern North Carolina news operations (DMA 99), which include ABC affiliate WCTI New Bern and Fox affils WFXI Morehead City and WYDO Greenville, as well as related subchannels and new media initiatives.
The appointment is effective Aug. 28.
Prior to this appointment, Nichols was news director of Newport Broadcasting’s WETM Elmira, N.Y.
In addition, Nichols 21 years of newsroom experience also includes the position of assistant news director at WBNG Binghamton, N.Y.
