Bounce TV Sets Ad Sales, Sponsorship Teams

Marathon Ventures to handle direct response ad sales for the new African-American targeted diginet, while ACE Media Corp. will run sponsorship and general market efforts.

Bounce TV, the new broadcast television network designed for African-Americans launching this fall, has tapped Marathon Ventures, owned by David Brenner, and ACE Media Corp., founded by Andrea Holmes Thompkins, to oversee advertising and sponsorship efforts.

Bounce TV has been cleared in 32% of the country in six weeks and will be seen in Cleveland-Akron, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Hartford-New Haven, Norfolk, Dayton, West Palm Beach, Birmingham, Memphis, Louisville and Richmond among other markets.

The network will launch this fall and will target African Americans primarily between the ages of 25-54 with a programming mix of theatrical motion pictures, live sporting events, documentaries, specials, inspirational faith-based programs, off-net series, original programming and more. Bounce TV will air 24 hours a day, seven days a week as a terrestrial network designed for carriage on TV stations’ subchannels.

Marathon Ventures provides full-service direct response advertising sales representation for a wide range of cable and broadcast networks, studios and distributors. The company is owned and managed by David Brenner, whose media background includes 16 years with MCA/Universal Studios, during which he served on the executive committee of the USA Networks and as SVP, sales and marketing of advertiser-supported programming television and home entertainment groups.

ACE Media Corp., a certified, female minority owned women’s business enterprise, is a multicultural ad sales rep firm. ACE’s primary emphasis is on ethnically diverse product, specializing in branded entertainment, marketing/sales and promotions beyond the traditional spot, commercial unit sale for television, cable, digital, print and social media networks.
