Brian Basham Named WJZY Chief Meteorologist
Brian Basham on Tuesdays was appointed chief meteorologist of Fox-owned WJZY Charlotte, N.C. (DMA 22). He is now contributing to the 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts, Sunday through Thursday.
Most recently, he was weekday meteorologist for WHBQ Memphis. Prior to that, he worked as weekday meteorologist for KGUN Tucson, Ariz., and KTSM El Paso, Texas.
Basham holds a broadcast meteorology certification from Mississippi State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast journalism from Northern Arizona University.
