Raycom Media taps the GM of its NBC affiliate WSFA Montgomery, Ala., to succeed the retiring Lou Kirchen as head of its Birmingham, Ala., Fox affiliate at the end of the month.

Collin Gaston Named GM Of WBRC
Collin R. Gaston today was named vice president and general manager of Raycom Media’s Fox affiliate WBRC Birmingham, Ala. (DMA 43) Gaston will be replacing Lou Kirchen who is retiring at the end of January.
Gaston came to Raycom Media in 2007 from Jacksonville, Fla., where he was the local sales manager for WAWS, the market’s Fox affiliate. Prior to that, Gaston was the national sales manager for Clear Channel’s duopoly WTEV (CBS) and WAWS (Fox) in Jacksonville.
In January, 2007, Gaston was named general sales manager for Raycom Media’s WSFA Montgomery, Ala.
In March of 2011 he was promoted to VP-GM of WSFA.
Gaston received his degree from Florida State University in the school of Media Communications.
