Companioni Named WMVJ-CA News Director

ZGS Communications announced today that it has appointed Gilberto Companioni as the News Director of its Telemundo affiliate WMVJ-CA Orlando, Fla. (DMA 18). effective immediately.

Companioni has over two decades of experience, holding positions with Univision as the bureau chief and reporter for Primer Impacto, as well as HBO Productions where he worked on shows including Real Sports, HBO Countdown and Inside the NFL.

Early in his career, he worked for Telemundo New York and for the Mexican political party PRI, where he directed election campaign videos and spots. 

He most recently was the executive producer for Univision Colorado where he produced the 5 p.m. newscast, and anchored and produced Primero y Diez con los Broncos (First and Ten: Broncos), a weekly behind-the-scenes look at the Denver Broncos.
