David Shenfeld Named WPIX A.M. News EP

Tribune Broadcasting’s CW affiliate WPIX New York (DMA 1) today appointed David Shenfeld the executive producer of its PIX11 Morning News.

He will be responsible for the strategy and content for PIX11’s morning newscasts, on all platforms. He joins the station on April 3 and will report to Amy Waldman, news director.

Shenfeld has held executive producer roles at Good Day, New York, NBC’s iVILLAGE, and Verizon Fios/RNN.  He has been a Senior Producer for CBS News’ Early Show and MTV’s TRL. 

His other production credits include the launch of fX Network, Geraldo, Regis and Kelly and Fox’s Backstage on Broadway.  Most recently, he was director of talent and development for Fusion, the ABC News/Univision multiplatform network.

Shenfeld holds a B.A. from the University of Rhode Island.
