ELIZABETH COOK NAMED KPIX 11 P.M. CO-ANCHOR

Elizabeth Cook Named KPIX 11 P.M. Co-Anchor

Elizabeth Cook has been named co-anchor for the 11 p.m. news on CBS O&O KPIX San Francisco (DMA 6), effective immediately. She will also co-anchor the Monday-through-Friday 5 and 6 p.m. newscasts with Allen Martin, as well as at 10 p.m. news on co-owned CW affil KBCW with Ken Bastida.

Cook has been filling in as co-anchor of the late newscasts since Dana King left in December 2012 to pursue her art career.

Cook has been co-anchor of KPIX News at 5 p.m. with Allen Martin and a general assignment reporter since March 2011. Cook began her career in Palm Springs, where she was a reporter, morning anchor and then the primary evening anchor for KMIR.

Cook graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in broadcast journalism.
