Gavin Maliska Named WGXA News Director
Gavin Maliska has been named news director of Frontier Broadcast Holdings-owned Fox affiliate WGXA Macon, Ga. (DMA 118). The appointment is effective July 30.
Maliska joins WGXA with approximately 20 years of broadcast news management experience. He began his television career as the managing editor of WFLD Chicago.
From there, he became the assistant news director at WJBK Detroit and moved on to become the news director of WXIN Indianapolis and WOFL Orlando, Fla.
Maliska was also the news director for Montana’s KECI-KCFW-KTVM and, most recently, for WJHG Panama City Beach, Fla.
