DMA 21: ST. LOUIS

John Brown Returns To KTVI News

Tribune Media-owned Fox affiliate KTVI St. Louis (DMA 21) has hired John Brown, a former member of the station’s Fox 2 News in the Morning team.

He returns to KTVI on July 5, after working since 2011 as an anchor/reporter for WOFL Orlando, Fla. His new role with KTVI will be as news/political analyst/contributor and public affairs correspondent. His beat will include current political campaigns, legislative and public policy initiatives and issues, and local public affairs and community issues.  He will also serve as host/moderator of current affairs and other long-form news programs.

“We are thrilled to welcome John back to FOX 2,” said Spencer Koch, president-GM of KTVI-KPLR. “Since John left us in 2011, the station has added 31 hours of local news per week. As a result, we have a need for someone to sort out St. Louis issues. John’s skills serve that need. His past experience in hosting town hall meetings, working social media, and involvement in politics will be key parts of John’s service to the St. Louis viewer.

Prior to working at KTVI, Brown was the host of The Daily Buzz, a nationally syndicated morning news-talk show based in Orlando, Fla. He began his career in radio in Miami and also hosted a talk show in Pennsylvania.

Brown graduated from Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo., with a degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. He worked on his master’s degree at St. Louis University and Barry University in Miami.
