Joseph Powers Named WTVT Local Sales Manager

Joseph Powers has been named local sales manager for Fox O&O WTVT Tampa-St. Petersburg-Sarasota, Fla. (DMA 14). Effective immediately, Powers will be responsible for overseeing the station’s sales initiatives, reporting directly to Shawn Gossett, WTVT VP-general sales manager.

Most recently, Powers was regional sales manager of Fox Stations Sales in Miami, a position he has held for two years. Previously, he was the Florida regional sales manager for Petry Media Corp. and held sales positions at Blair Television in New York, Philadelphia and Los Angeles. Powers began his career working as a sales assistant for the Financial News Network and WABC New York.

Powers holds a Bachelor of Arts in financial sales from The University of Massachusetts.
