Keating New Hearst TV Chief Strategy Officer

The station group promotes Roger Keating from SVP, digital media, to chief strategy and business development officer.

Roger Keating, who joined Hearst Television in 2008 as SVP, digital media, today was promoted to chief strategy and business development officer.

“Since joining Hearst Television, Roger has provided our company and our industry prescient leadership in a rapidly changing media landscape,” said Jordan Wertlieb, Hearst Television president. “I look forward to working with Roger as we expand Hearst Television into new partnerships and business opportunities.”

Keating has led the digital media business for Hearst Television and has been instrumental in establishing a number of cross-industry initiatives — including the Dyle mobile television alliance, the local video-news aggregator NewsON, and the Pearl consortium’s advanced TV advertising initiatives.

Prior to arriving at Hearst, Keating ran a number of regional businesses at Time Warner Cable; led AOL’s health and travel verticals; founded Zatso, a venture-backed online video news site; and launched the high-speed broadband business at Comcast.

Keating holds an engineering degree from University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Stanford University.
