KIRO Seattle Airing Local Business Special

Sound Startups is a new 30-minute special airing this Saturday, Oct. 4, at 7:30 p.m., on CBS affiliate KIRO Seattle (DMA 14) that showcases Seattle and Puget Sound as a leading region for innovation.

The special will shine the spotlight on several local startups including Wally Home, which uses wireless sensors to detect leaks, freezing pipes and mold around the house; and a new automatic beer brewing appliance for the home called Zymatic.

The startup community in Washington is growing fast. The University of Washington recently opened Startup Hall, which offers workspace to anyone with a great idea. Sound Startups  will talk to some of the most innovative minds in Seattle and learn about new businesses thriving in the Puget Sound region.
