KMSP Minneapolis Debuts New 6 P.M. Newscast

Fox-owned KMSP Minneapolis (DMA 15) introduced a new 6 p.m. newscast this week. Fox 9 News at 6 is anchored by Randy Meier, Kelcey Carlson and Chief Meteorologist Ian Leonard.

The newscast will focus on enterprise news content, with data driven reporting as a component. In addition, it will feature “good news” in the community; everyday people who are quietly making the community better. Viewers are encouraged to voice their thoughts on the latest news through social media.

For sports, the newscast will go beyond the usual sports sound bites and will break down big plays using the latest technology.
