KMSP To Debut ‘Fox 9 News At 11 A.M.’

Fox-owned KMSP Minneapolis (DMA 15) will debut a weekday 11 a.m. newscast, Fox 9 News at 11, on Sept. 12.

The hour-long newscast will follow the station’s pop culture and entertainment program, The Jason Show. With this expansion, the station produces 62 hours of live, local news each week, the most of any station in the market, according to KMSP.

In making the announcement, VP-News Director Marian Davey, said: “We see the 11 a.m. hour as a great opportunity to extend our successful morning news brand in an effort to help viewers stay connected to what’s happening into the middle of the day.”

Anchored by Amy Hockert, with reporting from Bill Keller and weather coverage from Keith Marler, Fox 9 News at 11 a.m. will focus on local news plus breaking national news from Fox-owned stations across the country.
