KRIV Names Howard Dorsey Asst. News Director

Howard Dorsey on Wednesday was named assistant news director of Fox O&O KRIV Houston (DMA 10). He assumes this position on Monday, Sept. 16.

Most recently, Dorsey was an executive producer at WPIX New York for the past three years. Prior to that, he was executive producer for News12 New Jersey and Web managing editor for WNCN Raleigh, N.C.

Earlier in his career, Dorsey was senior producer for ABC World News Now and a coordinating producer at ESPN. Dorsey has held managing editor/executive producer positions at KXAS Dallas and WCAU Philadelphia.

He has also been an executive producer for WCBS New York; assistant news director/executive producer at WXIX Cincinnati; and managing editor of WSB Atlanta. Dorsey began his career as a production assistant and then was promoted to assignment editor followed by assignment manager at WBBM Chicago.

Dorsey majored in broadcast journalism at the University of Illinois and studied radio and television at the University of Central Florida.
