KSBW Names Jillian O’Brien Asst. News Director
Hearst-owned KSBW Monterey-Salinas, Calif. (DMA 125), has appointed Jillian O’Brien assistant news director of the NBC affiliate.
O’Brien first joined KSBW in 2002 as a line producer. Leaving in 2005, she worked at KRON San Francisco as executive producer.
In 2009, she moved to CNN and for three years was a senior producer overseas at the Abu Dhabi bureau, winning a Peabody Award for her coverage of the 2010 Gulf Oil Spill. Earlier this year she returned to the U.S. and worked as a senior producer at CNN Headline News.
