KSNV To Debut 7 P.M. News In September

The new broadcast will make its first appearance on the Las Vegas NBC affiliate on Sept. 16.

Intermountain West Communications Co.’s NBC affiliate KSNV Las Vegas (DMA 40), will launch a 7 p.m. weeknight newscast on Sept. 16.

The prime access time slot is currently occupied by Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and Ralston Reports with Jon Ralston.

“This is the first in a series of expanding news programs on News 3,” says Robert Stoldal, EVP of news for Intermountain West Communications.  “This is an investment in the present and the future. It’s an investment in our community.

“We’ve made arrangements for the fans to watch the game shows on another channel while providing southern Nevada a news program that fits current viewing schedules,” Stoldal adds.

Ralston Reports with Jon Ralston will move from its current 7:30 p.m. time slot to 6:30 p.m.

The new News 3 At 7 will feature anchors Jim Snyder and Jessica Moore. The pair will continue anchoring the News 3 At 5.

BRAND CONNECTIONS

Weather anchor Kevin Janison will join News 3 At 7 while continuing with the 4, 5, 6 and 11 p.m. broadcasts.

News 3 Nightly At 6 will be anchored by Gerard Ramalho and Marie Mortera. Ramalho is a KSNV reporter and weekend anchor. Mortera will continue to anchor News 3 At 4 in addition to reporting for Crime Tracker 3 and Rip-Off Report.

Reed Cowan and Mackenzie Warren are the weeknight, 11 p.m. anchors. Weekends will see Michelle Velez anchoring mornings and Krystal Allan anchoring the evening and nightly newscasts.
