KVOA Tucson Names Weekend Anchor
Angelique Lizarde will be returning to Cordillera Communications-owned NBC affiliate KVOA Tucson, Ariz. (DMA 71) as a weekend news anchor, effective Aug. 3.
Lizarde previously was a multimedia journalist at KVOA from October 2009 until January 2012. Since leaving Arizona she has worked at KFMB San Diego, Calif., and most recently at XETV Tijuana, Mexico (San Diego) as a news reporter.
Lizarde holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of San Diego and a Master of Science in broadcast journalism from Boston University.
