Martha Sugalski Joins WFTV Orlando News

Cox ABC affiliate WFTV Orlando, Fla. (DMA 18), has hired Martha Sugalski to co-anchor its weeknight newscasts starting Monday, Aug. 24.

Sugalski has more than two decades experience covering Florida news, most recently at WESH Orlando. Over the course of her broadcasting career, she has reported on or anchored the coverage of some of the state’s most memorable stories, including the disputed 2000 Presidential election, the Elian Gonzalez affair, and the trial of Casey Anthony.

Sugalski graduated from Florida Atlantic University before starting her broadcast career as a reporter in West Palm Beach.

She will anchor Channel 9 Eyewitness News at 6:00 with Bob Opsahl. On co-owned independent WRDQ, she will anchor Eyewitness News at 10:00 with Jorge Estevez. And she will anchor Channel 9 Eyewitness News at 11:00 with Greg Warmoth.
