Matchbin Forms Radiate Media

Matchbin, a provider of content management, advertising and local marketplace solutions for media companies, has acquired NAVTEQ’s radio and television advertising group, which as part of NAVTEQ Media Solutions provides content and advertising solutions for broadcast radio and television, forming Radiate Media, a next-generation media technology services company.

Radiate Media will continue to provide traffic content solutions, such as CommuteVantage, to the radio and television stations through a continuing business agreement with NAVTEQ. Additionally, Radiate Media will offer its Editionals content management solution for media partners, and MatchLocal directory publishing platform for merchants. The MatchLocal platform also lets media partners provide Web, mobile and digital couponing capabilities to local businesses in their area.

“We are pleased to continue to serve the broadcast industry with our world-class traffic content through our collaboration with Radiate Media,” said Howard Hayes, VP traffic at NAVTEQ.  “The broadcast partners that will be served by Radiate will see no interruption in service.”

“Merchants are looking to multiple advertising avenues to promote their business, particularly at the local level”, adds Hal Widlansky, previously CEO of Matchbin and Radiate Media’s new President and COO. “Radiate Media is positioning itself to help media partners become critical players in the growing local advertising market.”
