NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution hit talk show franchises Maury, The Jerry Springer Show and The Steve Wilkos Show, have all been sold through September 2018 to station groups including Tribune, Sinclair, Hearst, Weigel and Sunbeam, it was announced today by Ed Swindler, President, NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution and NBC Broadcast Operations.
All three talk shows have been extended for an additional two seasons beyond the existing deal which will keep them in national syndication for at least four more seasons through 2018.
The shows now have been sold for the additional two seasons (2016-18) to top stations representing over 65% of the U.S. which include WPIX New York, KTLA Los Angeles, WGN Chicago and WCIU Chicago, WPHL Philadelphia, WLVI Boston, KDAF Dallas, WPGH Pittsburgh, WTTE Columbus and WKCF Orlando, Fla.
The three shows “have been among the highest-rated talk shows in all of daytime television for many years, and that strong performance is clearly continuing in the new season,” said Swindler. “We have great station group partners and we are pleased to join with them to bring these successful shows to viewers for the next four years.”
The announcement comes more than two months after reports that Tribune was considering dropping the three.

Four more years of baby daddy drama. Not too sure what this means for America …

All 3 of these POS talk shows are on WKCF/18 here in Orlando. I skip them all; there’s better shows on other channels.

Jerry will be 70 and Maury will be 79 or 80.
