Me-TV Adds Seven New Affiliates

The Weigel Broadcasting classic TV network now is cleared 89% of the U.S.

The Me-TV Network has signed seven new affiliation agreements that bring the classic television diginet’s clearances to 89% of the United States.

The new affiliates are: Word Broadcasting’s WJDE Nashville (DMA 29); Christian Faith Broadcast’s WLLA Grand Rapids-Kalamazoo-Battle Creek, Mich. (DMA 38); Quincy’s WREX Rockford, Ill. (DMA 135); Sonrise Communications’ KWMS Monroe, La. (DMA 137), Quincy’s KTIV Sioux City, Iowa (DMA 147); Hoak Media’s KFYR Bismarck-Minot, N.D. (DMA 151) and Quincy’s WVVA Bluefield-Beckley, W.Va. (DMA 156). These new affiliates bring Me-TV to 147 markets; the network now clears 89% of the country.

“Me-TV’s hitting the 89% coverage level speaks to the quality of the metwork’s programming, as well as the ratings and revenue results our affiliates are enjoying in markets of all sizes. For many, Me-TV has become their easy duopoly or triopoly opportunity,” said Neal Sabin, president of content and networks, Weigel Broadcasting Co.

In addition to being available in all top 10 television markets, the network can be found in 28 of the top 30 markets in the U.S. Several major media groups carry the network, including Hearst, Gannett, Raycom, Allbritton, Media General, Post-Newsweek, Nexstar, London Broadcasting, Belo, Hubbard, Cordillera, Bahakel, Fisher, Cox, Gray, Morgan Murphy, Grant, New Press Gazette, New Age, Granite, Capitol, Dispatch, Journal, Bonten and Titan.

Me-TV features a wide range of programming including almost 100 series from Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution, CBS Television Distribution, NBCUniversal Television as well as many independent series owners and producers.

But still no Hartford, Connecticut / Springfield, Massachusetts affiliate.
