Me-TV Lands affiliation WPLG Miami
Post-Newsweek-owned ABC affiliate WPLG Miami will begin airing diginet Me-TV on April 24 on its ch. 10.2, as well as on local cable systems.
With the addition of this affiliate and other pending affiliation agreements, Me-TV will clear more than 74% of the U.S.
“We feel the Me-TV programming strategy is simple but brilliant: take a sizable number of the most memorable comedies and dramas of the past decades; put them all on one channel and partner with a top-rated station like WPLG that can provide a far reaching promotional platform. That is a formula for success,” said Dave Boylan, WPLG VP-GM.
Me-TV’s library includes almost 100 series from Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution, CBS Television Distribution, NBC Universal Television as well as independent series owners and producers.
Me-TV is owned and operated by Weigel Broadcasting Co. and distributed by MGM Television.
