Meteorologist Pedro Montoro Joins WNJU

Telemundo’s WNJU New York (DMA 1) today added meteorologist Pedro Montoro to its news staff.

Prior to joining WNJU, Montoro was a freelance meteorologist for Spanish-language television stations in Miami and New York, serving the country’s second and third-largest Hispanic television markets. Montoro has also worked as a weather forecaster for the Cuban Institute of Television and Radio Broadcasting and has academic and research experience from working for the Cuban Institute of Meteorology in Pinar del Rio and the Center for Atmospheric Physics at the Cuban Meteorological Institute.

Montoro earned a bachelor’s degree in meteorology from the Higher Institute of Technologies and Applied Sciences in Cuba and did post graduate studies in Atmospheric and Oceanic Physics in Cuba and Germany.
