The station group promotes Dianne Wilson from director of human resources and employee benefits.

Dianne Wilson today was appointed vice president, human resources for Raycom Media. Wilson joined the company in 2001 as benefits director and was later promoted to director of human resources and employee benefits.

“The number of Raycom Media employees nearly doubled last year, now totaling over 8,300,” said Raycom Media President-CEO Pat LaPlatney. “That is a huge responsibility. Not only to provide services to that number of employees, but to be forward thinking about their needs and expectations. We felt Dianne was the right person to lead our efforts while we serve and recruit the very best here at Raycom Media.”

After a long tenure as human resources regional director with a pharmaceutical distribution company, Wilson transitioned to the compensation and benefits area of human resources. She began working at a large Alabama-based insurance company in charge of employee benefits and has extensive experience in the administration of health care, compensation, and retirement plans.

“Raycom Media employs the best talent in the business,” said Wilson. “The Human Resources team and I look forward to making sure that our employees have all the resources they need to be successful as we work to recruit more thought leaders into the company.”

Wilson holds a Bachelor’s degree in human resources management and an MBA in finance, both from Auburn University. She is certified as senior professional in human resources and serves on the Blue Cross and Blue Shield National Accounts advisory board.
