‘Right This Minute’ Clearances Hit 85%

MGM’s syndicated video clip show will launch its third season in all of the top 30 DMAs beginning Sept. 16.

Right This Minute, the half-hour syndicated video clip show distributed by MGM Domestic Television Distribution, has boosted its clearances to 85% of U.S. TV homes, including in all top 30 DMAs, for its third season premiere on Monday, Sept. 16. The show will air on 147 stations in 127 DMAs.

Newly added stations include Gannett’s ABC affiliate KXTV Sacramento, Calif., at 2:30 p.m., Cox Media’s NBC affiliate WPXI Pittsburgh, where the show will air Monday to Friday with a best-of episode on Saturday, both at 3 a.m., and Capitol Broadcasting’s CBS affiliate WRAL Raleigh-Durham, where it will air Monday to Friday at 1:35 a.m.

Over the summer, Right This Minute added a slew of stations, including NBC’s WNBC New York on Sundays at 5 a.m. and ABC O&O KABC Los Angeles at 10 p.m. Saturdays. In Chicago, Right This Minute airs on Weigel Broadcasting’s WCIU Saturdays at 1 p.m. and Sundays at 1:30 p.m. and on WCIU’s WCUU subchannel it airs weeknights at 12:30 a.m.

Other new markets and stations announced today: Portland, Ore. (KOIN), Nashville (WKRN), Hartford, Conn. (WTIC/WCCT), Salt Lake City (KJZZ), San Antonio (KENS), Providence (WPRI), Little Rock (KLRT), Flint/Saginaw (WNEM), Spokane (KAYU), Toledo (WTOL/WUPW), Chattanooga (WDEF), Colorado Springs/Pueblo (KOAA), South Bend (WMYS/WBND), Lansing (WHTV), Eugene (KLSR, KEVU), Santa Barbara/Santa Maria/San Louis Obispo (KSBY), Anchorage (KTUU), Palm Springs (KDFX), among others.

New markets or stations for the weekend or weekday strip recently announced include: New York (WNBC), Los Angeles, (KABC), Chicago (WCIU), Boston (WLVI), Washington, DC (WUSA) Atlanta (WSB), Houston (KPRC),  Minneapolis (KARE), Miami (WPLG), Sacramento (KXTV), St. Louis (KSDK) Milwaukee (WJDT/WMLW), Charlotte (WSOC), Las Vegas (KLAS), Oklahoma City (KFOR/KAUT), Austin (KEYE), Buffalo (WKBW), Dayton (WHIO).

BRAND CONNECTIONS

The program is seen by approximately one million daily viewers. In the No. 6 DMA San Francisco (KTVU, Fox), the show is the No. 1 daytime syndicated show among viewers 25-54 (Nielsen, May 2013).
