Sinclair, TWC Reach Retrans Deal

The new agreement covers 28 stations in 17 markets. In addition, TWC will produce three half-hour local news program, Monday through Friday, on Sinclair’s ABC affiliate, WXLV Greensboro/Winston-Salem, N.C., beginning in January 2012.

Sinclair Broadcast Group announced today that it has entered into a multiyear agreement with Time Warner Cable for the carriage of 28 of the television stations Sinclair owns and/or operates in 17 markets.

The television stations and markets are: WLFL & WRDC Raleigh, N.C.; WCGV & WVTV Milwaukee; KABB & KMYS San Antonio, Texas; WSYX & WTTE Columbus, Ohio; WSTR Cincinnati; WUTV & WNYO Buffalo, N.Y.; WSYT & WNYS Syracuse, N.Y.; WXLV & WMYV Greensboro, N.C.; WRGT & WKEF Dayton, Ohio;  WGME Portland, Maine; WUHF Rochester, N.Y.); WDKY Lexington, Ky.; WCHS & WVAH Charleston, W.Va.; WTAT & WMMP Charleston, S.C.; WTVZ Norfolk, Va.; WPGH & WPMY Pittsburgh; and KBSI Cape Girardeau, Mo.

In addition, TWC will produce a 6:30 a.m., 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. half-hour local news program, Monday through Friday, on Sinclair’s ABC affiliate, WXLV Greensboro/Winston-Salem, N.C., beginning in January 2012.
