Steve Doerr Heads 3 Smith Media Stations

Smith Media LLC today has appointed Steve Doerr VP-group manager of its New York/New England region, with oversight of WFFF (FOX) and WVNY (ABC- CW) in Burlington, Vt. (DMA 95), and WKTV (NBC-CW) in Utica, N.Y. (DMA 172).

Doerr most recently was VP-GM of WLNE Providence, R.I. Previously, he was the president-GM of KXAS Dallas. He has also held the positions of senior VP news, programming and creative development and VP-chief quality officer for the NBC O&O station group.

Doerr attended Ohio University.
