Tina Luque Named ND Of Fox Charlotte Duo

The former news director of WTKR-WGNT Norfolk-Virginia Beach, Va., will oversee news operations at WJZY (Fox) and WMYT (MNT).

Tina Luque today was named vice president and news director of the Fox-owned duopoly in Charlotte, N.C. (DMA 22), which consists of WJZY (Fox) and WMYT (MNT). Luque will oversee all editorial, business and administrative functions for WJZY/WMYT News, reporting directly to GM Kieran Clarke.

She replaces Karen Koutsky who left WJZY in January.

Most recently, Luque was news director for WTKR-WGNT Norfolk-Virginia Beach, Va.

Previously, she spent five years as news director for WIS Columbia, S.C. Prior to that, Luque was assistant news director for WHDH in Boston.

Before that, she held the roles of executive producer at WCAU Philadelphia, producer at WTAE Pittsburgh, and executive producer at WCSC Charleston, S.C.

A graduate of Pennsylvania State University, Luque holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism.
