TVNewsCheck To Honor Fox’s Andrea Berry

The Fox SVP of media services will receive the annual Women in Technology Leadership Award at the NAB Show. This recognizes women who have contributed significantly toward advancing their industry technologically. It supports the National Association of Broadcasters Educational Foundation’s Technology Apprenticeship Program.

Andrea Berry, senior vice president of media services at Fox Network Engineering and Operations, will receive the 2012 Women in Technology Leadership Award, presented by TVNewsCheck.

Berry, whose career has also included stints at CBS and NBC, oversees all aspects of digital media management for Fox, the Fox Sports Media Group, Fox Networks Group, Twentieth Television and MyNetworkTV.

“Andrea Berry represents a stellar example of how women leaders are changing the face of technology,” said NewsCheckMedia Co-Founder and Publisher Kathy Haley. “Not only has she built a distinguished career in media technology, but she also serves in leadership roles on the Alumni Board of the Illinois Institute of Technology, the Young Ambassadors Leadership Academy and the San Fernando Valley Chapter of Jack and Jill. The Women in Technology Leadership Award recognizes women who have contributed significantly toward advancing their industry technologically. It supports the National Association of Broadcasters Educational Foundation’s Technology Apprenticeship Program, which places young engineers who are women or people of color in broadcast industry internships.

TVNewsCheck will honor Berry at a 6 p.m. ceremony and reception on Tuesday, April 17, in room N115 of the Las Vegas Convention Center during the annual NAB convention.
