WCVB To Air $1.5B Powerball Drawing Live

Feeling lucky? Lottery-winner hopefuls can tune into Hearst’s ABC affil WCVB Boston (DMA 8) at 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 13, when WCVB will air the live Powerball drawing worth $1.5 billion.

There have been 19 consecutive drawings without a top prize winner. Before this current record jackpot, the previous U.S. lottery record was a $656 million Mega Millions jackpot that was split by three winners in the March 30, 2012, drawing. And Powerball’s previous record jackpot was $590.5 million, won on May 18, 2013.

Powerball is played in 44 states, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
