WJBK Names Amy Andrews 11 A.M. Anchor

Fox-owned WJBK Detroit (DMA 12) today promoted Amy Andrews to weekday morning anchor of the station’s Fox 2 News at 11 a.m. In addition, Andrews will anchor “The Nine” Thursdays and Fridays from 9-11 a.m. Her first day in this new role will be Nov. 4.

Most recently, Andrews was anchor of WJBK’s 4:30 a.m. weekday newscast and regularly contributed to The Nine. Previously, she was an anchor at WNEM Flint-Saginaw-Bay City, Mich. Prior to that, she spent several years working as a reporter and anchor for KSBY San Luis Obispo, Calif.

A cum laude graduate of Oakland University with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism, Andrews also holds a degree in broadcast arts from Specs Howard School.
